Understanding Neurodiversity

Welcome to this Wonderful Me! Team Talk session on Understanding Neurodiversity.

In this Team Talk we will begin to explore the beautiful world of Neurodiversity. We’ll consider how we are each part of a diverse and incredible world – Fearfully and Wonderfully made by a Creator God who made us each unique. We’ll look in a bit more detail at what is meant by the terms Autism and ADHD and we’ll be thinking about how we can create safe spaces that celebrate the uniqueness of every child and enable every child to feel safe, seen and valued.

Team Talk sessions are all about creating space for children’s, youth and family teams to reflect and explore together as you bring curiosity to an area of practice and seek to sharpen and encourage each other. Each session includes video content that explores the theme along with questions and activities to help kick start your discussion, wondering and reflection.

This session is split into 3 sections. You can complete the whole session in 1 go, which will take about 45m to an hour depending on how chatty your group is! OR, if you are short on time, you can use this resource over 3 ‘bite-size’ sessions, with each section taking around 15 minutes each.

I am passionate about offering support and resources that are as accessible as possible and therefore, seek to keep cost as low as possible – trusting God’s leading and provision as I do that. So, feel free to use this resource within your church as much as is useful – but please do not share these links and resources with others. If you like this Team Talk resource – then do chat about it with others and point them in the direction of the Wonderful Me! website where they can get their own copy!

Resource Feedback

If you have used these resources – please could I ask you to spend just 2 minutes completing this form. It’s so helpful for me to receive feedback that enables me to continue shaping these resources to ensure they are as useful and usable as possible. It’s also fun to hear about when and where Wonderful Me! resources are being used!
