Welcome to this Wonderful Me! Team Talk session on Reframing Behaviour.
In this Team Talk session we will begin to explore how we can journey well with children in our groups as we reflect on our understanding of behaviour and discipline. We’ll unpack some of the science to help us understand what is happening in our brains and bodies when we feel overwhelmed or dysregulated and we’ll consider how, as adults, we can ’tune in’ and bring curiosity to help us understand what challenging behaviour may be telling us about how we can bring care and support for struggling children.
Team Talk sessions are all about creating space for children’s, youth and family teams to reflect and explore together as you bring curiosity to an area of practice and seek to sharpen and encourage each other. Each session includes video content that explores the theme along with questions and activities to help kick start your discussion, wondering and reflection.
This session is split into 3 sections. You can complete the whole session in 1 go, which will take about 45m to an hour depending on how chatty your group is! OR, if you are short on time, you can use this resource over 3 ‘bite-size’ sessions, with each section taking around 15 minutes each.
I am passionate about offering support and resources that are as accessible as possible and therefore, seek to keep cost as low as possible – trusting God’s leading and provision as I do that. So, feel free to use this resource within your church as much as is useful – but please do not share these links and resources with others. If you like this Team Talk resource – then do chat about it with others and point them in the direction of the Wonderful Me! website where they can ge their own copy!
